NatWest WWF World Savers

At the end of the Piggy Bank series in 1988, NatWest launched a new series called “Our World” its mentioned in issue 15 of piggy press magazine and come with a pull out launching the savings scheme. It ran from 1989 to 1992 and was run in conjunction with the World Wildlife Fund.

Only 1 “piggy bank” was launched which was a ceramic panda bear that came in a polystyrene box and its own cardboard sleeve much like the original NatWest pigs, very rare to find original box and sleeve. As a saver you were rewarded each year with a new “medal/coin” for helping to contribute towards WWF. With a change in banking habits it wasn’t as popular as the original series and not a lot of merchandise was released.

Items to collect were the original starter pack, a set of magazines (6), certificates, a birthday card, badges and a board game.
